The Evil Queen is getting along in years, and with it brings her paranoia that she's losing her looks. Constantly nagging the Mirror day after day to tell her who the fairest in the land really started to grate on the Mirror's last nerve.
It was just too much, and to buy itself some peace, the mirror told the old bat that it was Snow White, and then burst itself into a million different pieces to get some long deserved relief. Rumor has it that the Queen's screeches could be heard all the way to the bowels of hell, drenched in different shades of orange. It was a screech, definitely a loud screech. It was the best screech ever, it really was folks. It was so good, It was the best ear-piercing screech ever, in the entire history of ear-piercing screeches. No one ever heard anything so shrill and amazing as that ear-piercing screech. The End.
This month the Alpha Stamps Kit is Snow White themed, one of my favorite fairy tales!
Helpful Tips
The entire tin was covered with Alcohol Inks in Pitch Black, Pebble and Pearl Metallic Mixative.
The outside Dragon Frame and inside Altoids Dragon Insert were both painted with Golden's Micaceous Iron Oxide paint.
Once the paint was dry on the Dragon Insert I dropped some of the Pearl Metallic Mixative and smudged it in with my finger.
The Tiny Mixed Sized Flat-Back Pearls that are around the small mirror (made from one of the Fairy Tale Frames were colored black with the Pitch Black Alcohol Ink. Just add a few drops of the Alcohol Ink to the pearls, swirl around and you have the color of pearls you want.
To get the shattered "glass" I used the Stampendous Pearlized Mica. Some pieces I peeled a couple of really thin layers off, other pieces I left with the multiple layers on.
The super cute Red Apples - 1:12 Scale were just a little bit too shiny for me. After all, once the Evil Queen got her grubby little hands on them they would have started to rot anyways. Rolling the apples in the Pebble Alcohol Ink and hitting them with the heat gun real quick grunged them up the way I wanted them.
The Stitched Leaf Ribbon was a much brighter green, so running it through some of the (you guessed it...) Pebble Alcohol Ink darkened it up. Using the heat gun on the leaves fairly close works great to make them curl up here and there. Just be careful not to make them smoke and uh, maybe catch on fire. Not that I've ever done that...
The paper roses and larger chrysanthemum flowers are no longer carried by Alpha Stamps. The reason I still have them to use is because I am a horrible (legendary) hoarder of art supplies. After having them for about oh I don't know. 500 years or so I finally decided to use them. No worries though! Alpha Stamps has a phenomenal selection of Paper Flowers to choose from.
Awesome!!!!!
