Monsieur Fahnze Pahntz

Whatever have we here?
Pull the knob and see...

Mon dieu! It is Monsieur Fahnzee Pahntz in his shop getting ready for his day!

Such a delightful little space that Monsieur Fahnze Pahntz has. Fragrant roses here and there and of course, one must be under Queen Marie Antoinette's portrait.

Monsieur Fahnze Pahntz is so very, very happy all the time. This morning he has been dancing and has twirled himself around to his cabinet of frippery. Currently he is deciding if he'll be using silks or velvets today; before he digs through his messy drawer of patterns.

As you can see, Monsieur Fahnze Pahntz loves to be surrounded by beauty. Luxurious fabrics, spools of silk threads, fresh flowers, beautiful books, and his precious Queen Marie Antoinette. (As well as himself, which he finds to be the most beautiful of all!)

I had a lot of fun with this project for Alpha Stamps using the Tiny Dress Shop Kit. Here are a few tips on how I made things.

-The bolts of fabrics are made by cutting small rectangles from chipboard and then wrapping silk and velvet ribbons around each rectangle. VoilĂ ! You now have bolts of fabric.

-The books on the shelf are covered with images from the Mini Perfume Labels Collage Sheet, because books with plain covers just wouldn't fly with Mr. Fahnze Pahntz.

-The dress form base is coated with Liquid Pearls Rose Gold. By mistake I found that if you mess the paint up a bit before it dries, you end up with something that looks a bit like metal. Gotta love mistakes that end up working in your favor!

-After cutting out the Marie Antoinette portrait from the Half Scale Books & Things Collage Sheet, I placed the portrait on a slightly larger piece of chipboard, then used Platinum Stickles on the chipboard to make the "frame".

-The Half Scale Striped Dollhouse Wallpaper with Garlands  is made especially for miniatures and it fit the Hidden Drawer Book Box perfectly. Am thinking that I'll have to make sure that I order a few more of them because it really is so cute and I love the matte finish the paper has. There's also the Half Scale Floral Columns Wallpaper that I'll need to use in my next project. It has a glossy finish, and is not as tall as the striped paper so I guess I'll have to make something even smaller with it. Hmm, perhaps the ATC Sized Hidden Drawer Box will be next!

  1. Delightful! (And I love that you've waved your wand and turned that Follies Bergere showgirl into a 17th century dandy!)
    Brava!

    1. Thank you Tristan! Those Follies Bergere girls are off one of my most favorite collage sheets. I do love imagining them as fops or dandies!
